Kamylla Cristina Rosa de Oliveira, a 22-year-old actress and model, tragically died after being hit by a fast-moving car on the GO-217 highway in Piracanjuba, Goias, Brazil. She was fixing her car’s wheel on the shoulder of the highway when the incident occurred.
The Accident
The accident happened on Tuesday night (13th), in Piracanjuba. According to the Military Police, Kamylla was in the company of two other friends. One of them, who was driving the car, noticed that one of the front wheels might be defective. They then pulled over to the side of the highway and noticed that the wheel was missing some bolts.

Kamylla volunteered to fix the wheel, but while she was working on it, she was hit by another vehicle. The impact left her severely injured. The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was called, but when the doctors arrived at the scene, she was already dead.
The vehicle that hit Kamylla fled the scene without providing assistance. In the report filed by the Military Police, the victim’s friends were unable to give details about the vehicle — only that it was traveling in the same direction as their car.
The Forensic Police were at the scene to conduct an investigation. Kamylla’s body was taken to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) in Morrinhos for a post-mortem examination.
The Civil Police were also called and are expected to investigate the case as manslaughter, which is when there is no intent to kill.
Kamylla worked as a model and actress, but also worked in advertising, in the social media field. One of her friends said in a tribute post that the two were soon going to open an agency together.
“We had JUST organized the processes for our long-dreamed-of agency. Friend, did I tell you enough how much I loved you? My God, the pain I’m feeling,” said Kamylla’s friend, Laura Teixeira, on social media.
Another friend commented on the young woman’s last photo, saying she will always be remembered for her joy.
“Whenever I think of you, I’ll remember your joy and your light. Now you will bring joy to the angels. Rest in peace, beautiful, and may God comfort your whole family,” she said.
Kamylla’s social media profile shared that her wake and burial will take place this Wednesday (14th) at Parque Memorial Cemetery.
